Hey! I’m David Bowman, and I’m starting at St. George’s University School of Medicine in the fall of 2017. I’ll be entering into the combined MD/MPH program, and I thought it’d be neat to write out my thoughts on the process and my experience up to this point and beyond. I’m from way upstate New York in Plattsburgh, but moved around a bit before that. I like to play my guitar and do some photography when I got some time. I spent the past year in Washington DC finishing up my MS in biochemistry and molecular biology at Georgetown and I did my undergrad here at SUNY Plattsburgh in biology.
I’m getting married in the beginning of August (Horary!) right before heading down to Grenada with this lovely lady in the picture. We’ve decided to spend the next 2 years apart, which I fully expect to be 110% sucky, but manageable. Coming out of a pretty intense graduate program, I found that you’ve got to have balance, and I’m hoping that this blog will help with that and in making sense of things! I’m probably going to post shorter blurbs while in school and more when/if I have something big to share. 🙂
I’m also pretty interested in Bitcoin, and have mined it for about 2 years now. I have another website at www.PlattsburghBTC.com.
I hope some people find this useful, thanks for stopping by!
